Brunch in the heart of Bucharest
Our Bucharest café sits on Strada General Christian Tell 1-3, just off Piața Romană in Sector 1. It’s a calm corner of a busy part of town — close enough to walk over from the Romanian Athenaeum or Calea Victoriei, quiet enough to sit for a while once you’ve found a table.
This is the same Cookie Beacon idea that started in Budapest back in 2021: a family-run spot built around brunch with a twist and handmade cookies. Everything’s cooked to order from locally-sourced ingredients, portions are generous, and there’s always a strong run of vegan and vegetarian plates — in the vegan dishes we cut right back on seed oils, so they sit a lot lighter.
What to order
The chunky cookies are the thing people come back for — baked in-house every day with real butter and good chocolate, thick and crisp on the outside, gooey in the middle. Belgian chocolate, Nutella, Lotus, Dulce de Leche, take your pick. Pair one with a specialty coffee, or lean into brunch with a mimosa. And if you’ve not tried our newer Cheesecake by Cookie Beacon line yet, this is a good place to start.
Hours & finding us
We’re open daily, 9:00 to 18:00. No bookings — it’s walk-ins only, so just turn up. Give us a ring on +40 752 138 881 if you need anything. It’s a pet-friendly café, so bring the dog along.
Good news for the rest of the city, too: a second Bucharest café is coming soon at Calea Floreasca 91-111. Follow @cookiebeacon.ro on TikTok for the opening — we’ll shout when the cookies are out of the oven.
